Abstract: CCC 2018 proudly presents a Plenary Discussion Forum on Trend of Unmanned Systems R&D and Industrial Applications. We are pleased to have 5 prominent researchers, educators and senior management in unmanned systems research and industry to share their vast experiences and visions on the future directions of unmanned system research, industrial applications and commercialization. The objective of this plenary panel is to provide an opportunity for interested participants to interact with the experts in the field through effective face-to-face dialogues.


2B20B  Hai-Bin Duan is currently a professor with the School of Automation Science and Electrical Engineering, Beihang University (formerly Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, BUAA), Beijing, China. He received Ph.D. degree from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) in 2005. He was once an engineer of Shenyang Aircraft Design Research Institute of AVIC, and a technician of AVIC Aviation Motor Control System Institute. He is the head of BUAA Bio-inspired Autonomous Flight Systems Research Group. His research interests are multiple UAVs autonomous formation control, and biological computer vision.

13A45  Qiang Wu, Deputy Chief Engineer of the Development and Research Center, Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), received his PhD in aircraft design from Beihang University (formerly Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, BUAA). His research focus has been on aviation product development planning and technology framework development. He is now engaged in the safety testing and evaluation of commercial UAVs, the conceptual studies and investigation of future civilian UAVs and UAV competitions.

1DD54  Li-Hua Xie is with the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, where he is currently a professor and Director, Delta-NTU Corporate Laboratory for Cyber-Physical Systems. He served as the Head of Division of Control and Instrumentation from July 2011 to June 2014. Dr Xie’s research interests include robust control & estimation, networked control systems, multi-agent networks, and unmanned systems. He is currently an Editor-in-Chief of Unmanned Systems and has served as an editor of IET Book Series in Control and an Associate Editor of a number of international journals. Prof. Xie is a Fellow of IEEE, Fellow of IFAC, and a member of Board of Governors, IEEE Control Systems Society.

  Dr. Fu-Min ZHANG is Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He received a PhD degree in 2004 from the University of Maryland (College Park) in Electrical Engineering, and held a postdoctoral position in Princeton University from 2004 to 2007. His research interests include mobile sensor networks, maritime robotics, control systems, and theoretical foundations for cyber-physical systems. He received the NSF CAREER Award in September 2009 and the ONR Young Investigator Program Award in April 2010. He is currently serving as the co-chair for the IEEE RAS Technical Committee on Marine Robotics, associate editors for IEEE Journal of Oceanic Engineering, Robotics and Automation Letters, IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, and IEEE Transactions on Control of Networked Systems,  and the deputy editor-in-chief for the Cyber-Physical Systems Journal.


    3898CGuo-Cheng Zhao, Founder and President of Ewatt Technology Co., Ltd, obtained his MBA from the University of Wales, UK. He has involved in the development of UAV products and is an inventor of over 500 patents.  He has been listed in the “One Thousand Leading Talents Plan” by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China, “Top Ten Excellent Young Entrepreneurs”, “123 Leading Entrepreneurs” and “Outstanding Socialism Builders” by Hubei Province, China. In addition, he has also been awarded Entrepreneurs for the 6th Sci-tech Entrepreneurship of Hubei Province, Excellent Entrepreneurs of Wuhan, Yellow Crane Talents of Wuhan, Young Experts with Outstanding Contributions of Wuhan, May 1st Labor Medal of Wuhan and May 4th Youth Medal.

Topic: Talk about Guan Zhao-Zhi Award

Abstract: The topic of this seminar is “Talk about Guan Zhao-Zhi Award. We are very pleased to have four prize-winners of "Guan Zhao-Zhi Award" as special speakers. They will share their achievements in scientific research and winning experience in order to encourage young scientists and technologists, who are engaged in system control theory and its applications, to make world-class achievements, then to promote the development of control science.

    undefinedYong He, was born in Sep. 1969, Miluo City, Hunan Province. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in applied mathematics and the Ph.D. degree in control theory and control engineering from Central South University (CSU), Changsha, China, in 1991, 1994, and 2004, respectively.

Dr. He was a Lecturer with the School of Mathematics and Statistics, CSU, and later a Professor with the School of Information Science and Engineering, CSU, from 1994 to 2014. He was a Research Fellow with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore, Singapore, from 2005 to 2006, and the Faculty of Advanced Technology, University of Glamorgan, Glamorgan, U.K., from 2006 to 2007. He joined the China University of Geosciences, Wuhan, China, in 2014, where he is currently a Professor with the School of Automation. He is a senior member of the IEEE. He served as the Associate Editor of Journal of the Franklin Institute, and Control and Decision. His current research interests include robust control of delay systems, networked control systems and process control.

Dr. He has published over 150 Journal papers, with more than 6000 times cited by SCI journals, and one of his paper has been awarded by Automatica with 'Most Cited Article 2006-2010'. Dr He was named as Highly Cited Researchers by Thomson Reuters (Clarivate Analytics) from 2014 to 2017 and Most Cited Chinese Researchers by Elesevier from 2014 to 2017. He received the second prize of the National Natural Science Award in 2013 and the “Guan Zhao-Zhi” Award in the 26th Chinese Control Conferences in 2007.

His research has been well funded by research councils, including four NSFC projects (Distinguished Young Scholars Programme) and National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (863 Program). He was appointed as Yangtze River Scholars Distinguished Professor by Ministry of Education of China, Leading Academic of China National Ten Thousand Talent Program and Innovative Talent Promotion Plan by Ministry of Science and Technology of China.


    FB7DBLong Wang was born in Xi'an, China on Feb. 13, 1964. He received his B.S., M.A., and PhD degrees in Dynamics and Control from Tsinghua University and Peking University in 1986, 1989, and 1992, respectively. He has held research positions at the University of Toronto, Canada, and the German Aerospace Center, Munich, Germany. He is currently Cheung Kong Chair Professor of Dynamics and Control, Director of Center for Systems and Control of Peking University. He is in the editorial boards of Journal of Control Theory and Applications, Control and Decision, Information and Control, IEEE Trans. on Industrial Electronics, PLOS ONE, etc. His research interests are in the fields of complex networked systems, evolutionary game dynamics, and artificial intelligence. Dr. Wang received the prestigious Guan Zhao-Zhi Award in 1994.


    37386Bin Xin received his B.S. degree and Ph.D. degree from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2004 and 2012, respectively. Since 2015, he is an associate professor with the School of Automation, Beijing Institute of Technology. His research interests include optimization methods, unmanned vehicles, multi-agent systems, and computational intelligence. He is the author/coauthor of three Books and over 70 Papers. He is an awardee of the 18th Guan Zhao-Zhi Award (2012). His Ph.D. dissertation was evaluated as the Beijing Outstanding Ph.D. dissertation (2013) and the CAA Outstanding Ph.D. dissertation (2014). He serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Advanced Computational Intelligence and Intelligent Informatics.


    3C197Wen-Xiao Zhao earned his B.S. degree from the Department of Mathematics, Shandong University, China in 2003 and a PhD degree from the Institute of Systems Science, AMSS, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 2008. After this he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Automation, Tsinghua University. During this period he visited the University of Western Sydney, Australia, for nine months. Dr. Zhao then joined the Institute of Systems of Sciences, CAS in 2010. He now is with the Key Laboratory of Systems and Control, CAS as an associate professor. His research interests are in system identification, adaptive control, and related topics. He serves as an Associate Editor of Asian Journal of Control, an Associate Editor of IEEE CSS Control Systems Letters, and the general secretary of the IEEE Control Systems Beijing Chapter.

摘要: CCC2018组织自动化与控制教育专题研讨会,将邀请5位知名学者专家,围绕新时期自动化专业人才培养的主题,通过主题报告的形式,介绍课程体系建设、硕士研究生培养机制、特色教育教学方法等多方面的教学成果,分享教学经验。研讨会将为参会者提供与专家们面对面交流的机会,共同推动自动化和控制领域高水平人才培养的发展。


    俞立教授,1982年在南开大学控制理论专业获学士学位,后在浙江大学获得硕士和博士学位,现为浙江工业大学自动化系教授。主要研究方向为鲁棒控制、网络化控制、运动控制、信息融合等,出版《鲁棒控制——线性矩阵不等式处理方法》、《网络化控制系统的分析与设计——切换系统处理方法》等专著,获得国家杰出青年科学基金。出版国家“十二五”规划教材《现代控制理论》,负责的课程《现代控制理论》入选国家精品课程、国家精品资源共享课,获得浙江省教学成果一等奖和二等奖各1项,获全国优秀博士学位论文指导教师、浙江省教学名师。现任教育部高等学校自动化类教学指导委员会委员、中国自动化学会网络化控制学组主任委员。


    赵千川教授,智能与网络化系统研究中心主任。1996年毕业于清华大学自动化系,获博士学位,现任职清华大学自动化系。曾以访问学者身份访问美国卡内基梅隆大学和美国哈佛大学,以访问教授身份访问美国康奈尔大学。主要研究方向为网络化动态系统的安全分析与性能优化,在绿色ICT技术、建筑节能和智能电网方面开展过多年的研究。负责多项国家自然科学基金和与企业的国际合作项目。合著英文专著1部,合作编写中文教材一部,在国内外学术期刊和会议上发表论文80多篇。国家级精品课自动控制理论和国家级精品在线课程线性系统理论负责人,曾获宝钢优秀教师奖。2014年获得国家杰出青年基金。


    潘泉教授,西北工业大学自动化学院院长,国家保密学院常务副院长,信息融合技术教育部重点实验室主任。主要研究方向:多传感器信息融合、目标跟踪与识别、空天平台感知与控制、多光谱偏振图像处理等。获国家科技进步一、三等奖各1项,省部级科技进步奖10项,国家教学成果二等奖1项、省教学成果特等奖1项。出版专著10部、国家级规划教材1部,发表论文400余篇,SCI收录100余篇次。获全国优秀科技工作者、中国青年科技奖、陕西省有突出贡献专家、陕西省优秀教师等称号。任国务院控制科学与工程学科评议组委员、全国控制工程领域专业学位研究生培养协作组组长、教育部高等学校自动化类专业教育指导委员会委员、中国自动化学会理事、中国指挥与控制学会常务理事、中国自动化学会制造系统控制专委会副主任、中国自动化学会教育工作委员会副主任、中国航空学会信息融合专委会副主任。


    戴先中教授, 1986年获清华大学工学博士后留校工作,1988年调入东南大学至今。国家杰出青年基金获得者,国家“高层次人才特殊支持计划(万人计划)”入选者。主要研究方向为复杂系统控制、机器人控制、测量与信号处理等。曾获国家科技进步三等奖(1996年)、国家电力科技进步一等奖(2001年)、教育部技术发明一等奖(2006年)、国家技术发明二等奖(2009年)、江苏省科学技术一等奖(2012年)。1991年被国务院学位委员会、国家教委授予“做出突出贡献的中国博士”、2007年授予“国家教学名师”、2009年授予“全国模范教师”等荣誉称号。现任“复杂工程系统测量与控制”教育部重点实验室主任,兼任科技部“国家科技计划”项目专员、教育部高等学校自动化类教学指导委员会副主任等职。


    周克敏教授,北航自动控制专业学士(1982),美国明尼苏达大学博士(1988),加州理工学院博士后(1988-1990)。1990年至2017年任教于路易斯安那州立大学电气与计算机工程系。现任职于山东科技大学。主要研究方向包括鲁棒控制、多目标优化、滞环非线性系统鲁棒控制、故障诊断与容错控制、金融市场预测等。是中国第十届和第十一届控制理论专业委员会委员(2013-2022),第35届中国控制会议大会主席(2016),分别被授予路州众议院杰出贡献奖(2004),基金委海外(B类)杰出青年基金奖(2004),长江讲座教授(2004), 千人计划(B类,2009), IEEE Fellow(2003), AAAS Fellow(2012), IFAC Fellow(2013), 中国自动化学会会士(2017)。论著被引用(SCI)共计10,000多次(Google Scholar 引用 20,000多次)。首创了H∞的中文翻译:爱趣无穷。


    杨光红教授,东北大学特聘教授,信息科学与工程学院院长、国家自然科学基金创新群体负责人。现任《控制与决策》以及Journal of Control and Decision期刊副主编、中国控制与决策会议总主席(CCDC,2010-2018)、中国自动化学会信息物理系统控制与决策专业委员会主任、中国自动化学会技术过程故障诊断与安全性专业委员会副主任、5个国际学术期刊编委(IEEE TFS等)、IEEE控制系统协会哈尔滨分会主席。主要研究方向包括:故障诊断与容错控制、鲁棒控制、非线性控制,信息物理系统分析与控制等。发表学术专著3部,SCI期刊论文300 余篇,Google引用1万余次,学术引用(H)指数47,入选爱思唯尔中国高被引学者榜单(2014-2017)。


    王红,博士,副教授,北京市教学名师。现任清华大学自动化系副主任,系教学委员会副主任;还任教育部高等学校自动化类专业教学指导委员会副秘书长,全国电子技术学研究会常务理事,华北电子技术学副理事长,容错与测试技术专业委员会常务委员等。国家级精品课“电子技术基础课程”负责人。获得清华大学首届“清华大学新百年基础教学成就奖”;三次获得清华大学“清韵烛光-我最喜爱的老师”奖;还获得宝钢教育基金优秀教师奖,霍英东教育基金会高等院校青年教师奖等;多次获得军队科技进步一/二/三等奖;多次获得清华大学优秀教材“特等奖”和“一等奖”,清华大学教学成果一等奖以及清华大学实验技术成果一等奖等。

Abstract: The state has issued the new generation artificial intelligence development plan, characterized by new technologies, such as deep learning, interdisciplinarity, man-machine cooperation, self-controlled, etc.. The fusion between artificial intelligence and automation has been further stepped up. CCC 2018 proudly presents a Plenary Panel Discussion, in which we have 5 prominent researchers to give plenary talks. The objective of this plenary panel is to provide an opportunity for interested participants to interact with the experts in the field through effective face-to-face dialogues.


    Chenghong Wang was born in September 1, 1955. He is a professor of National Natural Science Foundation Committee, and serves as a vice president of Chinese Association of Automation. His research interests include control theory and application, theory and application of system reliability, discipline development strategy and related policy research.



    Yonghua Xiong received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in engineering from Central South University, Changsha, China in 2004 and 2009. He was a visiting scholar with the Department of Computer Science, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, from 2006 to 2008 and a post-doctor with the Department of Computer Information Technology & Graphics, Purdue University Northwest, USA, from 2015 to 2017. He joined the China University of Geosciences as a professor in September 2014, where he is currently director of Department of Automatic Control, School of Automation. His research interests include computational intelligence, scheduling algorithms, and cloud computing.


    Jian Chu was the professor at Zhejiang University, the director of State Key Laboratory of Industrial Control Technology, the member of Advisory Committee of Experts on National Strategic Emerging Industries, the member of Electronic Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Expert Committee member for National High Tech Development Plan ( 863 plan),  the director of National TC124 on Industrial Process Measurement and Control of SAC, the chairman of China Association for Mechatronics Technology and Application, the vice-chair of China Instrument and Control Society. In 1997 and 2004, he won the National Natural Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and the Funds for Creative Research Groups of China. And He received the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award three times, one time of the second prize of National Technology Invention Awards, and one time of the first prize of China Standard Innovation Award. Now he is the director of Ningbo Institute of industrial Internet Research.


    Jun Ni is the Shien-Ming (Sam) Wu Collegiate Professor of Manufacturing Science and Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan, USA. He served as the founding Dean of the University of Michigan – Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute located in Shanghai, China since 2006. He is also the director of the Wu Manufacturing Research Center and the co-director of a National Science Foundation sponsored Industry/University Cooperative Research Center for Intelligent Maintenance Systems at the University of Michigan. Professor Ni is also the founder of Advanced Intelligent Maintenance Systems (AIMS), Ltd. in Hongzhou, China. Professor Ni has published over 450 technical papers. He received 2014 Andrew Heiskell Award for Innovation in International Education by Institute of International Education, 2014 Alexander Schwarzkopf Award for Technology Innovation by NSF-IUCRC Association, 2013 International Science and Technology Cooperation Award from the People’s Republic of China, 2013 Gold Medal from Society of Manufacturing Engineers (the first Chinese to receive this award), the 2010 Magnolia Gold Medal from Shanghai Government, 2009 Ennor Manufacturing Technology Award from American Society of Mechanical Engineering, and 1994 Presidential Faculty Fellows Award. He is an elected Fellow of International Society of Engineering Asset Management, International Society for Nanomanufacturing, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and Society of Manufacturing Engineers.


    Zhunga Liu obtained the Bachelor, Master, and Ph.D degree from NPU in 2007, 2010 and 2013 respectively. He worked as Associate professor in NPU since 2014, and he has been full time professor since 2017. His current research interest mainly focus on information fusion and pattern recognition. He has published more than 30 papers as the first author in some TOP journals (e.g. IEEE TFS/TCYB/TIP) and conferences. He has been granted by Shaanxi Provincial Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Shanxi Provincial youth talent support program, and so on. He serves as the Area editor of International Journal of Approximate Reasoning.


    Bo Yang received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the City University of Hong Kong, Kowloon, Hong Kong, in 2009. Prior to joining Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2010, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden, from 2009 to 2010, and a Visiting Scholar at the Polytechnic Institute of New York University in 2007. He is currently a Full Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research interests include game theoretical analysis and optimization of energy networks and wireless networks. He has published over 110 papers. He has been the principle investigator in several research projects including the NSFC key project. He was the recipient of the Ministry of Education Natural Science Award 2016, the Shanghai Technological Invention Award 2017, the Shanghai Rising-Star Program 2015 and the SMC-Excellent Young Faculty Award of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is a Senior Member of IEEE.
